Way too much pressure from Rachel Ray!

This is the first time that I have ever felt that a show host or product host put way too much pressure on to sell their items. QVC...I hope you all take this as it is meant to be. I am not here to bash Rachel period. Her products are very innovative, and she is certainly passionate about what she sells. But...She is way too overbearing when she sells and needs to take it down a notch or so. It is hard to make out what both Rachel and the host is saying sometimes as Rachel talks over them.

Thank you for taking this into consideration the next time she is on. And please...other posters, please don't nastily 'bash' Rachel on this threat. Thank you!

Please explain to me how you, sitting in your own home, watching your own television -- one that could be turned with the simple touch of a button on a remote control -- were pressured by Rachael Ray.

She must have really been scary selling those orange-handled pans!

I think the kitchen forum needs its own Rachel Ray section....it will be another love-hate board such as the Temp-tations board!

Re: Way too much pressure from Rachel Ray!

We even had a very contentious "Rachel Ray" thread on the Fashion Board! What's up with that???{#emotions_dlg.confused1} Last I saw, she was selling pots and pans, not dresses and skirts..... And I like her....as so many are always saying about Susan Graver, she's just "passionate" and "enthusiastic" about her product......and I believe she is. Rachel knows what she's talking about in the kitchen and wants to make good products available to make it easier for others who like to cook or have to cook....that's what I think she has in her heart, I doubt that she needs the money at this point in her life.

Rachel Ray is on QVC to make money...She is certainly aggressive in selling it..but it doesn't go over with ""you guys"".

When she is on QVC she is wearing her "sales" hat.. not her "chef" hat so to speak...

What was the guy's name that used to sell Ultrex? Now he was a hard sell! Very good at the sales game, he was.....A crook, as I recall, but every salesman could learn something from his "performance"...

ITA with the OP, she was out-selling Jill yesterday

Turned them both off

Re: Way too much pressure from Rachel Ray!

The only time high pressure sales really bother me is if the sales person is right in front of me and I feel like I can't get away.

I did turn the channel during a Rachel Ray presentation but it had nothing to do with Rachel. I really like her. I just wasn't interested in purchasing any cookware or bakeware, so I moved on.

My opinion of what I observed does not have to be justified to you nor anyone else. Please take your 'attitude' to another topic. Thank you.

You are totally off base with your reply to KYToby...if you feel pressure to buy something from a TV program or Q, you need to find a new interest or seek out a prescription.
