I have the book and need to spend more time trying things out. This sounds like it was a winner!Yum!!! I made the Old Fashioned Beef Stew last night. It was really good & easy to make. It makes 2 full bowls. I think the 8 oz of meat is a lot & will use less next time so I can add more carrots & potatoes. Instead of using beef stock I used the Better Than Bouillon soup base to make some broth with before I started. I added more beef broth to my bowl of stew after it was finished cooking. Enjoy!

Yes I used the TS WP rice cooker. I added the Better Than Bouillon to boiling water. If the recipe calls for broth or stock I mix with boiling water. If the recipe calls for the base I just add the base. Like the Mac n' Cheese uses a little chicken base. I like the recipes in the cookbook. They are all easy to make & sound pretty good.

DH picked up an Aroma 8 c rice cooker yesterday. It has a steamer insert so you can cook rice on bottom & something else in the steamer basket. I can use the recipes in the book for the 6 c. rice cooker. I used the mini WP last night to make the mac n' cheese & used the Aroma to steam some chuck roast cut into strips that I added broth & bbq sauce & made us a bbq sandwich with the mac n' cheese. DH says he's going to put stuff in the small one & take to work & put the inner pot in his refrigerator & take it out to cook when he gets ready to eat lunch. He will probably use it a lot for soups/stews/chili. He's lucky he has his own office & is able to do this at work.
The little Aroma 8 c rice cooker looks like a little pressure cooker.

Does anyone have the recipe for OATMEAL in the small rice cooker? The booklet does not have it and the cookbook has not arrived yet. I am not sure of the proportions of oats to water. The rice I cooked in it turned out wonderful (1 and 1/2C of water to 1 and 1/2C of rice) using the measure cup that comes with the cooker. CAT

CAT - this is from the cookbook for the 1.5 cup cooker:
1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
1 cup water
1/2 cup whole milk or almond milk
Pinch of kosher salt
2 Tbsp. maple syrup
1/4 cup mixed berries
Combine all ingredients except berries. Stir well, close lid and press Cook. Cook for 20-25 minutes or until mixture is thick and bubbly, stirring occasionally using a potholder.
When cooking is complete, top with berries, garnish as desired and serve.

OMG! I made ribs in this little magic pot last night - they were so good and the house smelled positively divine while they were cooking. How does this thing know just the right amount of time to cook each meal? It is far smarter than I am in the kitchen and it is making me look like a much better cook than I actually am.
Baby back ribs were on sale so I bought some, cut them up into 3-rib pieces and vacuum packed them for the freezer. I kept out one serving, added half a potato cubed, half an onion cut into wedges, ½ cup no-sodium chicken stock and ½ cup BBQ sauce – turned it on and 50 minutes later my little pot “Puck” had worked magic and I was eating a delicious meal, served with a tossed salad and warm roll to sop up the juicy sauce.
Easy to fix, easy to clean up and better than oven-made…this is the best $20 I have spent in years.

"The Smothered Pork Chops taste like some I make in the skillet. I made it tonight & put the chops in a bowl with the gravy & covered with foil while I made the rice. I made 4 thin sliced chops, probably 6-7 ozs."
Oh my goodness, you guys are getting me so excited about different things with this cooker!
Nightowlz, did you cook 4 chops at one time? I wondered because the recipe only called for 2 chops and I had hoped I might be able to cook more than that--I like to have a leftover for lunch the next day!

Yes I cooked the 4 chops at one time. They were thin & probably weighed 6-7 oz total. I could have put 6 of them in the pot. Hope you like them. I thought they were good. The chops were boneless.

I made a few baby back ribs in the RC. They were just ok. When I want ribs this is not what I'm looking for. I still like the baby back ribs I cook in the oven, put sauce on when done & put on the grill outside. They are the best.
Love the Mac n' Cheese recipe. I used 3/4 c cheese (extra sharp cheddar & Colby jack) instead of 1/2 c + the Tbls the recipe calls for. After you stir in the cheese & the RC turns back to warm don't leave it there on warm very long. It will get dried out. I just unplug the RC when the mac n' cheese gets finished.

Oatmeal Update: Thanks for the recipe! The oatmeal turned out OK, i prefer a soup like consistency (just me) and may add more water next time.
The baby back ribs recipe looks like a keeper! Thanks for posting that for us to try. I like the name *PUCK* from Midsummers Night's Dream.
I have a Roomba 880 from the other Home Shopping Network that I have named *Carson The Head Butler*
The rice recipe turned out FABULOUS by the way and I do love rice.
