I wouldn't be so annoyed by the presentations of TSV items that are not specifically for the kitchen if A) those presentations took up far less time and B) the TSV were not presented for at least one full hour immediately following ITWKD—and almost always hosted by David.
If the point is that the Q wants David to sell an item, and I know plenty of people who will tune in for anything he is selling, then they already have that approach in place with the TSV presentation hour; they don't need to try to sell electronics and vacuums in a show that's supposed to focus on kitchen items. And when these peripheral items are presented, viewers get a lot less of David anyway because the vendors typically take over the presentations with just a comment from David every now and then.

And he represents them well in my opinion. One thing I do notice, he does not like when there are camera or any kind of mistakes on his shows. You look at his face when that happens and he seems annoyed. Hes probably a perfectionist...
@Skididdy: I've noticed that too. Especially when one of the colors of an item has sold out. He is so quick to remove the item from the table. I get the feeling that he expects an assistant to be ready to take the item from him...immediately! ![]()

I notice that too. Sometimes the camera catches him with an unhappy look. Also, he always adjusts the placement of everything. I'm sure he wants his show to be successful--which it is. I just wish we would see new and interesting items.

The sold out items get removed instantly because of the tuned-in customers calling in their order saying "No! You aren't sold out of yellow, I can see it on the table right now! Send me THAT one!" LOL Poor CS who would complain to the director who would yell in David's earpiece. LOL

I use to watch David all the time. To me, his show was the best until mostly food came along. I do not buy food online - I want to see what I'm buying BEFORE I pay.
I've noticed the unhappy look when the camera seems to show him unexpectantly. Those eyes will roll!!
When he would get excited over a product and tell he had to have it I felt the same way. Now I seldom watch any more. I don't speed on Sunday's to get home to see the show. IMO the shows are not as good - seeing him gorge out on food does not make me want it. Wish the Q would go back to having ITKWD like it use to be. When I could get gadgets that help me in the kitchen or pots & pans that I have to have or those neat baking pans etc.. Yet by them having so much food I do save quite a bit of money! ![]()

They use to have cooking shows where the host actually cooked & sold the products he/she was using. Guess David cannot do 2 things at once. I liked that because then you could see what worked & what was cheaply made & broke when you tried to use it.

I imagine the cooking time wasn’t as productive for sales dollars per minute.
They do still demonstrate products and sometimes the products fail on air. I remember a thread about a peeler that came apart during the live demo. 😀

Years ago QVC kitchen shows did show a lot of "live" cooking and HSN only showed their cookware, etc. with no demos. Now HSN has a lot of live demos (Wolfgang, Ming, Curtis Stone, etc.) and QVC has less cooking. I miss the demos and tips from Bob Warden. Meredith should have her own show again.
