I just put stuffed peppers in the oven.  I stuff them with american chopsuey sauce made with small elbows.  I think some folks call it goulash depending on what part of the country you are from.  I live on the North Shore in MA.

I made chicken soup in my new slow cooker------it is terrible !

BLT sounds great to me......the soup is going in tomorrow's garbage after it cools off over nite.....and I wasted a liner for the crockpot!

Re: WHAT'S COOKING AT YOUR HOUSE THIS MARCH 2019?

Sorry to hear about the chicken soup failure Danky. I have never tried any soups in my slow cooker - may never will now. LOL. Seriously I have been super fortunate with my slow cooker. I find it difficult to spend a lot of time on my feet, standing and stirring and the slow cooker has been a life saver for me. I use it for so many things. Course I even wear them out sometimes as this is not my first one. And it is so easy to just toss things in without pre-planning and it all comes out great.

Yesterday was not a bad day but not quite warm enough for me. Spent a lot of time sitting in the chair and cat-napping - just not quite on top of the world but will get back there - well as high as I can climb these days.

Hope all have a great day and eat well.

@Danky   How did you make the soup?   One good additive tochicken soup is Better than Boullion, which I buy at Costco, but it is probably at amazon and elsewhere, it adds a lot of flavor.

I have made split pea soup, chicken, and urkey soup in the slow cooker, all turned out beautifully, but it is what is put into the soup that makes it.

@Danky   I have never heard of a crock pot liner, what is the purpose of it?

It is made by Reynolds and goes inside the crock pot to make clean up easier

@mousiegirl

It is made of plastic and when done you remove the contents and throw out the liner. Fits over the side of the crock pot and when I was done the pot looked like brand new....

I boiled the bones and cooked with onions, carrots, celery, garlic ......the next day put the homemade stock in a crockpot with carrots, onions, celery.

AND Simply Boullion chicken stock instead of salt and pepper. Also added a little soy sauce at the end.......should have been perfect but it wasn't !

UPDATE------last night I put the soup away to throw out this morning.

Then it dawned on me that maybe what I smelled was the pot. I had cleaned it with soap and water since it was the first time I used it but didn't clean the outside. I heated up the broth, added chicken and spinach and it was DELICIOUS !

Re: WHAT'S COOKING AT YOUR HOUSE THIS MARCH 2019?

good evening everyone. danky maria has made american chop suey but not in a long time. when my dad was very sick before he died 5 years ago maria made them a hugh pan of it  and she made them something else to but i cant remember what else. she dont use elbow pasta. and anna dont either. none of us like elbow macaroni. i dont like pasta with no lines or bow tie pasta either.but any other pasta i love.i made pasta and alfredo sauce today but i dont know what happened because it separted. the butter and cheese wouldnt come together. i never had that happen before. i told ria im not using it. pasta will be awful. so we just used butter and grateand droppesd cheese. tomorrow shes making breakfast.  she will cut potatoes small and cut up red peppers and when its cooked she makes 4 spaces and drops an egg in each spot and covers pan to cook eggs. its good . she has made it a few times. hope everyone has a great night.
