Not sure which I like more; the liver, or the steamed onions.   I eat liver once a month.

@RedTop   I caramelize the onions.

@mousiegirl,

I have this mental thing about carmelized onions.  They’re onions and I will eat them, but to me they are seriously over cooked, and the “flavor” developed thru the cooking process just does not appeal to me.   Raw and slightly steamed are my preferences.

@RedTop   I agree they can be overdone, but I caramelize them slightly, but have also just sauteed them until translucent.
