Remember, don't use anything with "lemon" or citric acid (sour salt, koolaid, lemishine) iif you have stainless flatware- it will pit..

I haven't taken time to read all the replys, but my husband cleans out the filters inside the dishwasher every so often when it acts up like yours. We also rinse our dishes well, so that nothing goes in with 'gunk' on it, and it is nice when it runs well. Ours is older too, but these tips have kept our machine running like new.

Forgot to say we use the Cascade little pods from Costco also.
