Since moving to the south I have used nothing but Duke Mayo. South Carolinians take their Duke very, very seriously. Even here in NC, its next to Godliness. It is very rich and creamy, I like it and use it a lot. I think it costs around $3 to $4. When I need it I just buy it.

Oh yuck
Not a fan of HFCS. I don't eat anything that contains it.
Kraft is a sucky company like that. They use HFCS in almost all of their products. Way to be cheap.

@ID2-----I belong to the same club however, this morning , after reading some of the posts from die-hard MW fans, I picked up a jar ....the cost was
$3.49 and tomorrow I will make tuna and potato salad.
If i don't like it, all the posters who "talked" me into buying it can take up a collection to reimburse me...LOL. 📩

LOL, sugar, corn syrup can one really be better than the other? Not sure either is exactly good for you. Mayo is also 65% oil, MW can't be classified as mayo because it doesn't have enough fat.
I saw this on the internet. Of course it's jaded as someone trying to sell coconut spread. They both have 'natural flavors' which can be bugs in some things for coloring. Not sure what it is in mayo or MW.

to the dark side .....HELLMANS !!!!
My mother always had both Hellman's and Miracle Whip in the house.
The MW lasted longer because she was the only one who liked it!

I stock up when it's on sale, usually in early summer. The current price at Wegmans is $3.79 for 30 fl. oz.

I'm going to have to check this out. Will be needing some soon. Unless a recipe expressly calls for mayo (like spinach dip) I use MW all the time. I grew up w/Miracle Whip. Mom swore by it ![]()

I still use Miracle Whip when making potato salad and macaroni salads as there is more "zing" to the flavor but I use Hellmans for everything else. The prices of the Miracle Whip are high here in Maine too.

that is because it ISNT mayonnaise.
@sunshine45,@Daysdee, I can't get by what I always thought was a lemon taste. I guess it was vinegar?![]()

i am not sure about the lemon/vinegar taste. i always thought it tasted too sweet......and i dont want my sandwiches/potato salad/tuna salad to be sweet. i never acquired a taste for MW. i stick with hellmans, dukes, and mrs filberts.....and none of the reduced fat ones.
