I came to the site using the QVC URL, and a pop-up told me that I had been randomly selected to take a QVC survey which would take only a minute or two, and for participating I would receive a "special offer." It looked legit - after all, I was at the Q site - and I figured, "what the heck." (Knowing how cheap QVC is, I figured the "special offer" would be an EZ Pay or something.)
There were two questions: The first was are you male or female; the second asked if you were using your computer at home, work, or other. That was it - then I got "offers" for junk like a free electonic cigarette, a free credit report, and other things of no interest. (All stuff you could probably find on the internet.) Then a bunch of junk tried to load itself onto my computer, like some sort of thing that would give me free recipes; I got an AVG warning and it's still scrubbing the malware off my other computer; I also had to go to the task manager to close those applications.
AVOID!!!!!!
