Anyone know what model the tsv is? I am considering it as my Ninja container is cracked. Except for price,what negatives are there? Do you own and love yours? Any and all opinions appreciated.

Hi! I purchased a Vitamix in August and I do love it. Let me start by saying this was not a typical purchase for me--I previously had a $20 blender and only cook as little as I can get by with Smiley Happy I have not found any negatives yet. I am trying to get away from processed foods and this does help--making tomato soup in five minutes with just a few ingredients, smoothies, fresh orange juice, peanut butter, etc. This was a very expensive purchase for me, but I haven't regretted it at all. I learn something new to make every time I watch the presentations. I hope this helps Smiley Happy

I purchased the Vita Mix TSV today, did anyone hear Mary say where we could click on to get more recipes? By the time I got a pen and paper she had already said it and I didn't catch it.

I didn't hear that part of the presentation, but Vitamix.com has several recipes. Enjoy your Vitamix!

I purchased QVC's first TSV from about 5 years ago! One of the BEST purchases I've ever made, QVC or not~! It was a Creations and at the time I think it only came in Black and forget what other color, but I got the black. It also had the ultra tall container so it never fit under my counter. Last year I splurged on the smaller 48oz container and love it. But I still use the large one for a lot.

Until then, I was going through blenders because even the more expensive ones burning out (motors) and now I can say that the cost of the Vitamix has now been paid for by NOT throwing away a blender every year. Ice was the culprit. But now.... wow, it goes through anything and everything.

The replacement containers are expensive (a little cheaper on the Q) but they include the blades, rather than the blade being on the actual machine. The "plastic" isn't just run of the mill plastic either, very strong.

When I purchased it, the price on sale was around $350, so the price hasn't gone up IMHO that much.

It's worth it. It really is..... and I'm going on the website when they get the little tamper holder back in stock and buying it, what a great idea.

Worth every penny.... and I don't get behind kitchen appliances very often and hoot about them! {#emotions_dlg.w00t}

All of my life I have used regular blenders and thought they were just fine. Before I got the VM blender, I had a Kitchenaid and I thought it did a fine job.

VM is on a level all it own. I drink these smoothies daily that contain kale, spinach or some other type of greens, I put a full apple in it, bananas, all types of berries, flax seeds, yogurt and celery. With my previous blender while it did blend it, it had a chunkier and grittier consistency. I could have never just thrown a whole apple in it core, stem peel and all and expect it to be completely liquified. I couldn't do nut butters or get the consistency of great hummus like I do with the VM. Making smoothies that contain a lot of antioxidant type of veg and fruit is necessary for me because I have Crohns and I need all the extra vit and minerals that I can get. I couldn't possibly eat all those fruits and veggies but blended I can and hands down, VM is the best out there. I also have a Blendtec (which was a gift) and a Ninja. There is just no comparison. The VM is a work horse. Don't get me wrong I think the Blendtec is a great blender too and I do like the design better but the VM is better.

If you are getting a blender to just do milkshakes or simple stuff like that then I wouldn't bother but if you are wanting to make smoothies that are packed with veggies that are difficult to break down like kale, celery and other fibrous or stringy veggies then it is for you. I also think it is superior in making nut butters. I make almond and cashew butter often. It is great for making your own flour too if you are into that.

Yes, I have that same model. Bought it last year and love it. I mostly use it for hot soups/items and use the Nutribullet 900 for ice cream. When I used to make homemade dog food, I also used the VM for grounding up meat.
