Vitamix cleaning question

I have been using the most recent Vitamix TSV for about a week now. I have really been enjoying it.

As far as cleaning it, I am reading that you just have to wash the jar out by hand with a little dishsoap and water.

So my understanding is that the bottom with the blade does NOT come off to clean the blade separately? I'm actually glad if that's the case, as it makes cleaning much simpler. I realize that you can clean it more thoroughly by running it through for a minute or so then rinsing it. Just wanted to make sure you don't take the bottom of the jar off.
