Just wanted to share my experiece with my new Vitamix. I am not trying to sell it and I am not sure yet if it is worth the price, but it is amazing me everyday so far.......
I have 26 days left to decide if I want to keep it. Posted a ferw days ago about trying veggie drinks, and I appreciate those who posted suggestions. I am still trying those green veggie drinks and adding fruit does help, but drinking green /brown stuff with blended lettace in it does take some getting used to, even if you are devoted to improved health.
I am beginning to see the difference between this blender and my other less expensive ones...but the real aha moment was last night for dinner. We were short of time and my husband had finished yard work and I didn't have dinner ready.......I needed something quick. The blender made some fantastic brocolli soup, which I modified due to my not having all the ingredients. It came out so good, and was hot and ready in about 5 minutes. I had heard about this, but was not believing it could be true. My husband kept saying how good it was and how he liked the texture and I agree..it tasted like it cooked all day and was an old family recipe.... I also made a quick pesto that came out perfectly...and put that over some pasta. A quick salad adn we had dinner with very few things to clean up and in about 15 min. I know my old blender can made pesto too..but it never blended it as well. This was amazing.
I made some coffee drinks that frothed as good or better than the ones at the coffee shop, in under 3 minutes. Later finished the night with awsome berry smoothies. Again, my other blender does some of this, but not as well. It always leaves clumps. And stuff always get stuck in the blades.
Just wanted to write and say that if you are on the line about this expensive blender, it might be worth a look. I am still deciding, as it was a big chunk of money and my old blender isn't so bad; However, we have eaten more fruits and veggies and dairy ( yogert, milk, ) since we got this.
Today I am going to try the breads, and also make a salsa/dip for guests. I think the flour based dough will be the real test...do I need to get the food processer out or is this 10 in 1 GADGET going to make it?
Anyone else here have any Vitamix experiences to share?
