I received my VitaMix TSV last night and could barely wait to get it out of the box and setup. I made a smoothie with frozen blueberries, frozen strawberries and milk. It came out great! But, I wound up making way too much. XD
I tried to make another smoothie with water, frozen raspberries, frozen blackberries, blueberries and baby carrots- it came out terrible and thin. I think I added too much water...
This morning for breakfast, I made one with frozen strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, pineapple, baby carrots, a whole banana and milk. It came out great except that I noticed it still had quit a bit of seeds from the berries getting stuck in my teeth.
My question is - what should be my expectations about the seeds being pulverized? The consistancy was perfectly blended and smooth but there still were a lot of seeds from the berries.
Second question, what is the appropriate liquid to food ratio? I read on another website for a "single serving" a good rule of thumb is just enough liquid to cover the blades. That almost worked this morning but I still needed to add a bit more liquid.
Any advice? ![]()
