Ordinarily I won't buy food type stuff from the Q because I think it's severely overpriced, but this wine might be an exception. Has anyone tried the Vintage Estate Wine that QVC sells? I saw the presentation with David last night and am tempted to purchase some. I don't really want to go by David's expression and endorsement alone (is there anything he doesn't like in an on air demo?). We are not wine connoisseurs. DH generally likes reds that are more deeply flavored and on the dry side. I like light, sweeter wine myself. I thought a combination set would suit us, but would like some input before spending money on something I haven't tasted myself. Thanks

I did not see the presentation last night so not sure what kinds of wines are in the set/sets. I have purchased some cases before, usually get the half red half white. They are very good in our opinion (hubby drinks red, I drink white) and the prices are very good for what you get.

While I hoped for more replies, this is what I hoped to hear. Thanks BB2. I think I'm going to order a half & half, too.

Wine is one of the things I do like to order online. Most times, Q wine runs about $9 - $10 a bottle. The collections differ all the time. What they're selling now is different from any of the last 4 collections. I've ordered each time they had a different selection. Since it's a 40+ mile round trip for me to go to a good wine shop with staff that actually knows their wines, online works better for me. (Where I live, they know their 'shine, but not their wine).
Have found a number that I particularly liked. However, the pricing if you order direct from the wineries (providing you can even BUY that particular wine) is MUCH higher, not to mention the shipping. Many of the wines I prefer come from the west coast. Few of these, if any, tend to show up at your local wine shop, unless you happen to have a specialty wine shop in your area.
Often, QVC (like Trader Joe's and even Costco) may contract with a winery for the entire production of a particular wine. Means, you get it from Q, TJs or wherever when it's available, never to be seen again.
When you order, go online and look at the presentation video - they give a very good description of each wine, along with info on how cold it should be when served (or not), when, how and what type food to serve with it.

I was on auto delivery a couple of years ago. We were happy with the choices but my DH would rather make his own choices now. He has worked in a wine shop and it is somewhat of a hobby for him. I don't think you'll be unhappy.

It's worth a try.
I joined the wine club at my local WineStyles. I belonged for a few years and really discovered what I like. I could go in for live tastings and talk to the owners about wines. Through that I now know what I like.
Now I look for those characteristics on wines at Trader Joe's (and other stores) for a fraction of the cost.

Ordered those from QVC once and they all tasted very good. The problem for me was that you had to be home in order to receive them which is hard to do when you work all day.

We purchased the set of 3 Syrah wines they had on at Christmas time from this company. They were absolutely delicious, so I tried to order them again but they were not available, even from the site for this company. : ( We are red wine drinkers, so have not tried any of the white wines.
