Using other liquids in your Sodastream?!

Happy Friday Folks,

I have never posted in this category but I certainly love to read and admire your expertise.

I have read some of the threads regarding this fun device and done a little research on the web. It was not mentioned here, but on the Sodastream site it says you cannot carbonate any other beverages than water, that you may have a fizzy mess and will not honor your warranty if you try to carbonate, say juice.

Haha, fizzing booze drinks was obviously one of the features I was looking for! I wonder if this may be strategic marketing by the manufacturer, as it would make sense. I was wondering if anyone has thought about this and was looking for feedback and your thoughts if you own one. Or if (God forbid, lol) anyone has tried to do this.

I got mine fairly cheaply and I was thinking of throwing caution to the wind and trying some sweet tea in there!
