Re: Used Pressure Cooker first time and recipe was too liquidy

  • I have made the Beef and Macaroni recipe two times already in my 6qt Crusinart Pressure Cooker. The recipe came out perfect each time. It is even better the next day. I made it twice in one week and put some in my 1 cup Lock and Lock's and froze it. It tasted just as good warmed up in the microwave after freezing. If the recipe is too much for you and want to make it and freeze some it worked well. Some extra liquid is absorbed in it as it sets. I will probably make it a day ahead the next time as it was so quick and easy. It only took 6 minutes in my pressure cooker. I did a quick release with a long handle and a towel over it-as others mentioned in their posts. It did release quite a bit of liquid. If you add just a little less liquid and cook an extra minute it should be fine if too much liquid after cooking.I always make the recipe as written the first time and then I do it my way the next time if it needs some tweaking.
