Just what we need food police.

@Whitney400 I tune in on tv every once in a while to see what's cooking. I just happened to tune in and yes, Alberti was forking in the the lasagna into his mouth. Seemed he couldn't get enough of it.
This stuff by Stouffer's was advertised as an 8-layer pasta dish - I couldn't see that it was 8 layers but what in the world can you stuff into lasagna to be 8 layers??!! Lasagna does not NEED to be eight layers of noodles!!!!!!! Yes I get there's one of sauce, one of cheese and one of a meat you may want to use but really all you need is three, maybe four. There aren't even casserole dishes deep enough to have eight layers - and who wants 6 of them to be just noodles??!!
Stouffer's on QVC????????????? really???????????? Is this company that hard up from selling in grocery stores that they feel the need to be here?
AND, wasn't that stuff pricing out of $80.00???????????? I don't care how much you choose to make, lasagna DOES NOT COST $80 to make!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just looked at Walmart online and for a 90 oz, the party size, lasagna with meat, it's $16.48. Big difference in price.

I think people should buy and eat what they want without being scolded.
We are all adults here...(?)

I think you are missing the part about individual choices and lifestyles and how they view money. I don't know how much QVC charges for Stouffers whatever it is, isn't a breaking point for most QVC shoppers. People are willing to pay premium prices for the convenience of at home delivery from QVC. I might be wrong but I assume QVC is selling the big party size Stouffers which is not available at every store and they go quickly over the holidays.

@Whitney400 wrote:I thought when someone asked about this item being on QVC it was meant to be funny. Has anyone really looked at the nutritional value of 1 cup? 990 mg of sodium, 65 mg of cholesterol, 26 grams of carbohydrates and 18 grams of fat (1 transfat) doesn't meet my criteria of "healthy". Did anyone notice that Alberti never took a bite and wasn't very enthusiastic about it either? I don't buy any Stouffer's frozen foods because of the ingredients and the nutritional information. Bad decision on QVC's part to offer this.
@Whitney400 First off, I don't think people are too dumb to know what they are eating and spending, second it is none of my business.
Thirdly, a lot of what Americans eat is very unhealthy. Do you read the recipes posted here? Tons of mayonnaise, cream cheese, butter, sour cream, sugar? So I don't see what here is "bad decision" on QVC's part. Nobody is forced to eat it or buy it--but loads of people do. Their choice.
So what are you going to do about it? Scold 'em all and that will fix it?

Lol. This is making me think about buying one to stick in the freezer "just in case".

ALL frozen foods are VERY unhealthy!! Just read the ingredients. I never buy them. Rather make my own to eat fresh or freeze myself.

That brand was the very best, back about 40 years ago when I started eating it--loved the lasagna, the creamed chicken and noodles and the mac-n-cheese----but now--just horrible!!! Have been unable to cook as I broke my ankle and can't put any weight on it for the next 6 weeks--have been buying frozen meals and they all are nasty--waste of $$. Mostly ate a bite then trashed it---gag, choke, cough!!!
