Sorry to say it is not the new K Elite I was hoping for.  It is the K Select with all the accessories.  It seems like a good deal.  The Elite price is much higher.  There are reviews on Keurig's web site about this unit saying it is cheaply made and all plastic. Maybe David and the buyers will visit the Keurig booth at the Housewares Show this weekend and see the Elite to offer.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

I love the Keurig concept and the last unit I purchased was the one several years ago that has the water button.  I've taken very good care of it only using bottled water, changing the filter regardless and using a needle periodically to clean the puncture thing where the water/coffee comes out (gets clogged once in awhile)....  I've been happy with the machines I've purchased and have learned along the way but I'm not impressed with the newer models and how they look and feel at all.

I would love a machine made predominately of stainless steel... and I'd be willing to pay for it!  Woman LOL

@WORKING GAL, do you know if the K Elite can use any k cup or is it like the 2.0 that only uses "branded" k cups?

I hope it can use any k cup, because it looks like a nice model, similar in functions to the 2.0.

I really liked my 2.0 but ended up downgrading to the K55 so I could use any k cup I wanted. It was really irritating to have to choose between having a much nicer Keurig model or having a very basic model that uses any k cup I wanted. I hope Keurig comes up with a happy medium.

@Q4u

I used Farberware electric percolator for many years - and each one lasted around 5 years. The last one I purchased lasted 3 months. I also had a Hamilton Beach that lasted 8 months. Bought another Hamilton Beach 2 months ago - and hoping for the best. They're made in China - probably the same factory - out of some faux metal. They just stop working. Bed/Bath did exchange the last Hamilton Beach for another one. At Bed/Bath they don't show any more electric percolators - just those big drip coffee makers - which I have no interest in. They need to be manufactured in the US.

@Maltichonmom17 - I did a live chat with Keurig and asked if the K Elite uses any K Cups.  It only uses K Cups registered with Keurig - it won't recognize the others.  The K Select does use any K Cups according to Keurig Cust. Service.  I have a 2.0 525 that Keurig sent me free as a replacement for a different unit that went bad very quickly.  It only uses certain K Cups which I don't like.

@sunshine45 And @WORKING GAL, thank you both for your answers to my question. I appreciate you taking time to respond. 😊

@WORKING GAL, leave it to Keurig to do it again. They finally offer a much nicer, upgraded model, and then just make it a revamped 2.0 that only accepts branded k cups. If I wanted that, I would have kept my 2.0. I really hate being forced to downgrade to a basic, no frills model just to be able to use whatever k cups I choose. I thought Keurig learned their lesson about that but maybe not.

Amazon carries SO many different varieties of k cups that I love to try out, my favorite being a brand called Crazy Cups. I want the freedom to choose, but doesn't mean I won't also buy "branded" k cups too.

The K Select seems a little better than my current K55, but not enough improved features to make me trade up. Until Keurig offers the upgraded features of the K Elite and lets me choose what k cups I want to buy, I'll keep my $$ in my wallet. I really miss my Platinum model. It had everything I wanted in a Keurig.

There are little orange stickers things you can buy on Amazon for around $4.00 that you place over the sensor thing on the Keurig 2.0 and you can put any K-cup you like in it. We got a little plastic thing to cover ours about 2 or 3 years ago when we bought it and that has worked well too.

I was also hoping it was going to be the Keurig Elite for the TSV Smiley Sad

I got my "antique" percolator on eBay.  it is ceramic, which is what I wanted.  Try looking on eBay for an older one.
