My previous post regarding this 7 pc. square L&L set in clear was that most of the inner rims of most of  the lids had a notch or larger cut out exposing the silicone.

I called Lock & Lock and asked about this.  L&L customer service rep said that many of the lids are now being made this way.  This was in direct response to many customers who want to be able to remove the silicone to clean underneath it to prevent mold and the cut out makes it easier.

I'm going to keep my set.  If I exchanged it,  I probably would get another set with the same issue.  Although there is a one year warrantee with L&L, because it was purchased through QVC, there is a lifetime warrantee.

thank you for the update & sharing this info.

I have sets of LNL from day 1 introduced at Q.  I own many of them and have never had mold issues, cracking, staining or anything else.

The info you shared is good to know because I plan to order as a gift the TSV on 9/3 (ship to/bill to option).
