Has anyone bought Tupperware lately? Looks like this is a TS tomorrow on HSN. I would love to have some more bowls. They don't make stuff like they use to, so wondering about the quality now. Thanks!! Woman Happy

It was recently announced their last USA manufacturing plant will be closing and relocating to Mexico.

Not sure how that will eventually translate to quality and demand but that's the current news on the company.

I have Tupperware bowls from the 70's that still look new.  Orange and yellow.  I have a HUGE salad bowl that I have used for 40 years for picnics and large gatherings.

I buy lock and lock, but kept a few tupperwares.  Even lock and lock, which is still ok, but not like it used to be.  My old L&L pieces snap so well.  No tab breakage on older sets.

My favorite Tupperware item though was always the citrus peeler!  Mostly a giveaway at the parties.  Still use that weekly!

Sorry I can't comment on new Tupperware purchases.

I inherited my mother's, they are orange. Best bowls ever. I was just looking to add to my collection. I'm pretty sure they will not be the same quality. Woman Very Happy Woman Happy

I have some 'antique' tupperware as well, among it is a pair of sale and pepper shakers with the lid to keep moisture out, LOVE them so I bought a set last year for the camper. They look the same but they are not quite the same. One thing that I'm noticing is the lids keep coming off and the "S" an "P" are wearing off the new set already, my originals were part of a wedding gift - we were married in 1984 - and they are still perfect.

@LadybugDG,

Tupperware still has a website and also Target sells Tupperware. It's not like the tupperware of years ago though!

I bought a set at Target and ended up taking them back. Could not get the lids on them no matter how hard I tried. I even tried sitting on them and the lids would not go on.
