gkelly, the one that I like to go to is 30 miles away. I go every couple of months and I stock up on DH's favorites!

I'm good without a cooler; I have them put all the frozen items together.

Between TJs and Costco, I need a chest freezer!

Thanks, HonnyBrown, Sam's is the closest store for me and that is also about an hour away! First time I go to TJ's will be just to take a good look around & take notes...but with these and earlier suggestions, I will know what to look for..lol.

First time? Ever? WOW!

When TJ's was a local store, I took a coworker there who was in town on business. She took a look around and ended up mailing her stash back home.

Seriously though, the stuff is decadent. I normally don't eat ice cream (just frozen yogurt), but anything that is made out of pumpkin or have pumpkin flavor, I'll eat.

Glad the OP asked the question! A highly anticipated store just opened near me and I went today. I really wasn't impressed, and don't see the attraction. What am I missing?

I like TJs, but I don't love it like some people seem to. When they opened one an hour and a half from where my mom lives, she couldn't stop talking about it, she was so excited. When she comes to visit, I have to take her shopping there. So I do. Normally I only go there about once every two or three months.

They have some really good frozen items, IMO, and I enjoy the various ethnic choices in the frozen section that you don't see in a regular supermarket. I get their frozen croissants (plain, chocolate, and almond) when I have overnight house guests. They are amazing. I like their refrigerated cilantro dressing and the champagne pear vinaigrette. in the fall, I like their pumpkin bread mix.

Go when it's not so crowded. I wasn't too impressed the first time myself.

Everything is high quality, little or no preservatives and great prices, compared to supermarkets.

They have items that you don't find in the grocery stores and the prices are competitive.

For instance, even though you can find bagged kale at every grocery store, the TJ's bagged kale (not the organic one) has the curly ends and no stems.

They carry Pork Belly and Thomcord grapes.

The juice blends are very unique (Ginger Lemonade is my fave).

The fresh flowers last much longer than the grocery stores and my local florist.

I could go on, but that's a start.
