Interesting that TJ's also sells it at a lower price than the bakery itself-volume purchase and overall lower overhead cost is prob the reason. Thx also for the truck stop info! If TJ's only offers it as a seasonal, the truck stop is the alternative.I will be in the neighborhood of O&H soon, when I go to my mother's. They actually charge 8.99 for the kringles there, so TJs is a better deal. Still, I may have to get one. Kringle is on the table here for almost any party. I had guests last week and we had bar cookies, etc for dessert. My mom brought the kringle (she buys from Bentsen's but they are just a small bakery) and it was the first thing gone.
Chitown and other no. IL posters, if you ever head north on the I, the Iron Kettle truck stop on hyw. 20 sells the O&H kringle.

Picked up the kringle at TJ's this morning. I was told by a SA that there will be a holiday kringle following the pumpkin caramel (which is TDF) Can't recall if he said what flavor. Employees also raved about the pumpkin biscotti, also really tasty.

If you look at the Trader Joe's website, you'll see that ALL their products are non-GMO. I went to Whole(paycheck)Foods when they bought out a local supermarket...and the prices are so outrageous I never went back.
For you pumpkin fans, on the website's home page they have these:

Apparently they're mini ice cream sandwiches with pumpkin ice cream and ginger cookies.

You're missing my point. At Whole Foods NONE of the food they offer is GMO, regardless of brand. But at Trader Joe's they claim only their brand ("Trader Joe's") is non GMO.
They also have blurry writing regarding trans fats. They claim "no added Trans Fats", which could mean different things depending upon how one adds ingredients (because some ingredients have trans fats already, so not adding to that will not mean no trans fats).

Well, then by all means, pay the ripoff prices at Whole Foods if it makes you happy, but don't knock those of us who like Trader Joe's.
