I love real German bratwurst but only get it rarely at fairs, etc because I don''t live in an area that has German restaurants or groceries. Shopping for things like "Johnsonville Brats" has been very disappointing to me. Fat hot dogs they are - real bratwurst they aren't. Last time I was in TJ's I saw they had packages of "genuine" bratwurst so I bought some. For some reason they are not the fat meal-sized sausages I think of as bratwurst, but they have the seasoning right - yum! I put two in a bun (yes they are that small) with some brown mustard and it made a tasty meal. They would make dynamite breakfast links - they are about that size.
