I do not for a moment think it is inappropriate to be disappointed if a piece of stoneware cracks for no apparent reason. I'd be upset also; however, the forums recently make it seem as if every set will crack. I've been looking at the number of sets sold and the total number of reviews that are so positive. Hundreds of thousands of tempt-tations are sold and the vast majority give good service. It just seems disproportionate to lable the product line as worthless because of a small percentage of defective pieces. I suspect that all product lines have similar problems but do not have forums which air them.
I did have a defective piece and called Temp-tations, (not QVC) customer service. They replaced it immediately for just the shipping cost although I had the piece for over a year. I've never had any other difficulties. So, while it is thoroughly understandable to be upset when a something breaks, maybe it is fair and reasonable to balance that against the thousands and maybe even millions of sets sold.
