Now having a refrigerator surrounded by cabinets, I am finding I miss:
Place for sunglasses, flyswatter, baskets for use and decoration, emergency candle.

Knew an interior decorator that ALWAYS commented on how dirty top of refrigs were.

I've never used mine for anything but storing phone books and collecting dust.  LOL

I have such a small kitchen, my Coke Polar Bear cookie jar sits on top of the fridge, master of all he surveys. I'm sure its dusty up there too.

In the narrow space between my fridge top and cabinets above it: a couple of trays.

For those of us who vertically challenged, this space does not exist.  A non-starter just like the ceiling, it is just “up there”.
