I would have thought it was older than that. I'm 63 and I don't remember us ever not having a Crock Pot.

Have a ridiculous number of crock pots.  Used on Thanksgiving to cook spiral ham, stuffing.  Kept gravy warm, chicken and noodles.  Love the liners too for easy clean up.

I was married in 1971--and got one for Xmas that year--used it for many, many years. and have the same brand now only newer of course--use it often.

I received my first Rival crockpot back in 1981 as a wedding gift. Still use it to this day. Great small appliance!
