I wanted to share that if you have a Publix Supermarket nearby, my favorite ice cream brand Tillamook is on sale buy 1, get 1 free this week.

At over $7 ( and its not even a half gallon i dont think) this kind of sale is the only way I can justify buying. Its a great way to try a new flavor you havent had it.

I bought their limitrd edition German Chocolate Cake (yum) and Chocolat Chip Cookie Dough.

Re: Tillamook Ice Cream sale

@LizzieInSRQ.  Sounds really good but we don't have Publix.

Blue Bell just came out with chocolate brownie truffle but I can't buy any because my freezer is full.

@ @Kachina624 Blue Bell is good and i think their size is still a half gallon which is great! Chocolate Brownie Truffle mmmmmm!

Not as creamy as Tillamook ( which is just 1.5 quart grrrrr!). But i would buy BB on sale too.

Re: Tillamook Ice Cream sale

@LizzieInSRQ- Although I agree that Tillamook's Ice Cream is creamy, I think they cheat with some of their flavors.  We bought Marionberry and were disappointed that it was mostly vanilla except for the very center where there was the Marionberry.  If I wanted vanilla that's what I would have bought.  Same thing happened with another flavor we bought.  Too expensive even on sale for the amount of flavor in the carton.  I think Blue Bunny is better with more of the flavor that you buy.

Re: Tillamook Ice Cream sale

No Publix in my neck of the woods (to the best of my knowledge).

I first became familiar with Tillamook when someone on these boards mentioned it a few years ago.  I tried it and thought it was very good, but not really any better than Breyers or Haagen Dazs.
