I've been gathering some of my less-used kitchen items to determine whether they're going to stay or be given away, and I came across a couple of specialized tart pans with glass bottoms and silicone outer rings (K44490). I wanted to investigate what I might have used them for in the past, and surprisingly, the item page is still active here on the website; however, the video seems to be malfunctioning. So I headed over to YouTube and found a product video there—it was fun to see the Blue Jean Chef, Meredith Laurence, and former host Jill Bauer present this item. I think I'll be tracking down a recipe to make a giant peanut butter cup for an upcoming family gathering...

@loriqvc   I have that in the round and square versions and it really works well.  I've used it for cheesecake, brownies, and fudge.

I well remember Meredith demonstrating it with David Venable.

@aroc3435 - Thanks! I think I'll have to try a cheesecake as well; it seems like these pans would make a really pretty version and be at least as easy as a springform pan.

@loriqvc   One of the reasons I bought these was for easy release and for not having to deal with some of the cheaper springform pans I had at the time that tended to rust.

@loriqvc I have the same pans in red.  Can't remember if I ever used them, but I did like them at the time.  How I wish QVC would bring Meredith back with a show all her own.  I should say a cooking show.  There's enough programming selling too many gadgets.

But its a shopping channel so that will never happen.( why would they, except for Christmas day when they used to air non-sales materisl, but now they show pretaped selling for online purchasing).   Try You Tube.
