I use Spectrum grapeseed oil because it's even better at higher temps than coconut oil from what I read.

I know air popped is best, but I gave my daughter our air popper and never bothered to get a new one.

I just saw a YouTube of this: 1/3 cup of popcorn with a tsp of olive oil and salt in a paper bag. Fold top over twice to close, nuke for 2-21/2 mins until popping stops. You need the oil in the microwave.

I air-pop it in a Nordic Ware microwave popper, then top with real melted butter (a lot of real butter), then go to town.
