I had a sister-in-law that was a food stylist for a local grocery chain.  I once visited the set and asked her the who gets to eat all this food question.  She said it gets thrown out after sitting under hot photography lights for hours.  They can't risk food poisoning.

The crew and helpers deserve all the food they can eat. I'm sure they work very hard, long hours with little pay. Companies need to pay more attention to the "little guy."
