I ask some really silly cooking questions here, but I feel very comfortable posting my silly questions on this board. So here's my silly question of the day...what exactly is a dumpling? There was a slow cooker chicken and dumpling recipe posted here recently (which was very good, btw) and the dumpling was a biscuit.
When I get my chicken and dumpling soup in a can, the dumpling is more noodle like, which I love.
Someone posted how she really loved Cracker Barrel's chicken and dumplings. Are the dumplings biscuits or noodles? What about chicken and dumplings from a Chinese restaurant?
Thanks for any info. So many silly questions, so little time to ask them all. I hope you at least got a little chuckle from my post.
