Fiesta stuff is pretty, but, I like Corelle or Melamine better LOL  don't like that heavy stuff and can chip.

Nobody to impress, most of the time eat off paper plates. ROFL

@SilleeMee That is what I used in the motorhome, it is wonderful. No pattern to worry with, it is lightweight and microwave safe! My mother bought me the corelle that we use in the house and I would not part with it for any amount of money. (though she would if there is someone in heaven that offered to buy it from her!!)

Growing up, my mom had mismatched dishes (dinnerware, mixing bowls, serving bowls...). Drove me nuts every time I opened the cupboards. I figured out years ago that if you choose a color and stick to it, even if the items aren't the same because you find something you like here and there, it still all goes together and is more pleasing to the eye. It also cuts down on the spur-of-the-moment 'gotta have it' if it doesn't fit your theme.

@Harpa    Not really understanding your post. Is it the Mikasa that you are trying to replace? A couple of posters recommended replacements.com. They have thousands of china patterns and lots were discontinued years ago. If you want to replace your plates try them. Also try ebay. I have found replacements for my mother's crystal that was purchased in the 1940's and has been discontinued for years.

Yes, replacing Mikasa. Last year I was considering adding to my depleting plates & bowls and so found my pattern. Just thought it wasn't time yet. After this a.m., that changed.

I got bowls in different pattern, and salad plates in yet another. My Mikasa cupboard will now have 3 different patterns, but still they are similar.

Replacements website does have a bunch of Mikasa, but not in what I want to supplement.

This is only for me and DH. He just wants the food on top.

My everyday dinnerware matches.  I actually use two different patterns that coordinate with each other made by the same company.

Years ago, I started to collect bowls and platters from around the world when I traveled, so they are loved pieces, but don't match anything.

I also have a set of solid white stoneware that can be used with all of my colorful platters and bowls and I have quite a collection of all white completer pieces.

I hate to admit that I have several sets dessert plates in bundles of 6 or eight that I use when just serving sweets or a sandwich.

I love
collecting dinnerware, can you tell?

From a set of 8, we're down to 3 salad plates and 4 cereal bowls, and I cannot find my pattern any more. It is close to 50 years old!

Though I did get my everyday Mikasa in bowls & salad plates, nothing is going to match, which is okay, because sometimes I like that whimsy.

Does anyone else use mismatched kitchenware pieces?

@Harpa @Try Replacements Unlimited. They will either have your pattern now or will get it in soon.

Re: There Goes Another Plate!

@wagirl @OKPrincess  Fiesta are what we use every day. We

can mix or match and that is fun. Back in the 70's we had Corelle Butterfly Gold, one of the first Corelle patterns.

When my grandmother gave me all her old Fiesta, I gave my Corelle to my daughter. Then I started collecting the new Fiesta.

Who knew they were going to add so many new colors?

Too many new colors to add to limited space, I stopped buying the place settings in every new color.

It does make me happy to use my favorite colors.

Got rid of all the heavy dishes which I replaced with Corelle since it's lightweight. I have 4 of the Corelle platters we use all the time. Have 2 sets with some just white pieces.

Love my Franciscan earthenware. Not a fan of Fiesta. I hope OP is able to find what she needs.

Re: There Goes Another Plate!

I do have matching dinner sets, but for everyday, I have Fiesta in all different colors.  I could not settle on a color, so I went with all the different colors and each meal is a color fest for the eyes.
