IMO, hands down; these tomatoes are nothing short of fantastic.  We have them every day in some way, shape, or form.  I also am a huge fan of the UgliesRipe tomatoes which are a bit pricey however, they are the "filet mignon" of tomatoes IMO.  I always put lemon pepper on them; even when I use them for sandwiches or by themselves.  What is your tomato passion?

I love Burpee's Big Boy Hybrid.  We grow ours from seeds.  We usually get a good crop going.  By late August the place is swarming with tomato....and I love it.  And I can eat a tomato sandwich breakfast lunch & dinner.

I prefer Beefsteak but will eat just about any 'mater'.  Everyone who knows me knows about my love of the tomato.

I used to say, "Just put on my tombstone....'here lies Annabelle, she loved a good tomato".

@Annabellethecat66 & @songbird;  do you sneak an occaisional slice (or 4) of bacon in your tomato sandwiches?  I am guilty as charged, lol!

It kills me to buy tomatoes during the winter, as we grow at least 8 varieties each year. When you get used to homegrown and fresh, nothing in the store measures up.

I simply tolerate what is out there between October and July, until ours come in again.

We are lucky enough to live in South Florida so tomato access is pretty much 24/7 & 365 days of the year.  I remember growing up in Nebraska craving homegrown beefsteak tomatoes during the winter season.  The gassed version you have to tolerate is not palatable to me.  I would use an extra dose of Hellman's mayo during the winter.

Didn't even know there was a 'tomato debate'.  But I really like tomatoes, too.     I don't really choose just one.  

I live where nothing really grows but I mostly try to get California produce and will buy whichever tomatoes look good that day.

I really have to watch the acid, so I don't have them often, though, anymore.   Now that I'm thinking about it, I can't even remember the last time I ate tomatoes.  Now that it's winter there probably aren't many good ones here anyway.   Maybe in the spring.

@BornToShop  You bet!  My friend down the street has a huge garden every year.  I buy him lunch and dinner and he gives me his amazing tomatoes!

After awhile I have to back off a bit because I get sores (fromt he acid) in my mouth.  Then it's back to my 'maters'.

Tomatoes are supposed to be especially beneficial to older men.  My dad insisted on a bowl of canned stewed tomatoes with his dinner every night.  Fresh in the summer.
