The Oster oven TSV. Can it be put on a Formica counter? I'm curious. I looked through all the Q and A on the site and answers about what you can set it on were kind of evasive. I guess, to be safe, one could put large size ceramic tiles on the Formica counter and set the oven on top of that.

I always put heat generating appliances on a raised glass or tile cutting board.

I would check on Oster's website for answers and contact them directly.

Just to be safe, I'd raise it.  When I purchased my first Ninija grill, several years ago, I read about quartz and granite countertops cracking from the heat. I use a wood cutting board, large enough for it to fit, but not super thick.

I put a silver counter protector under my oven.

Amazon has them in different sizes.

Has protected my granite for 3 years.

No matter the counter surface , granite, solid surfacing ect. I use a glass cutting board under my air fryer .

@Mindy D   Mine was on a granite countertop.  When I moved my current kitchen has a Corian (similar brand to formica) countertop and I've had no overheating or fire concerns with it in either location. 

It has a bump out with a peg at the back to keep it the required distance from the back wall/splashback and the metal bottom does not sit directly on the countertop--it is elevated by the manufacturer to what they consider a safe height.

I've had it for over four years now and love it.

If you're worried about your countertop, go to Lowes or HD and have them cut you a piece of plywood to put under it.

I put my Breville oven on formica counters--no problem
