The (Not so) New Basics Cookbook by Rosso and Lukins

I have had this cookbook forever and I haven't made four things out of it. I don't know why I keep it, other than it gets rave reviews from a lot of people.

Have you ever used it? How do you like it and how did the recipes turn out? I am culling my collection so I need advice! Thanks!
