tough, i guess I can't please everybody. sorry !

@SharkE

Is this directed at me? I have not asked you to do anything and was answering a question.

You are not the only person who has a revolving animation, there are several posters. I tried to steer clear of your threads when you had the swimming shark, not because of anything you write, just because of the movement.

Saying you are sorry for being rude does not seem particularly sincere comment. But no worries, your shark is an effective deterrent from further engagement. 😉

Yes! I believe others did ask and for the strangest of reasons are now being considered as have ganged up on this poster. How absurd.

I can understand that some may not have realized that "special effects" aren't so special for some people. I realize not all things affect people the same. Not everyone has an affliction triggered the same way. If you're not affected it's easy to discount that it's an actual problem to some.

I understand that, but once it has been pointed out that the animation can cause discomfort for some, after that has been mentioned by more than a few, what I don't understand is why someone wouldn't want to alleviate another's discomfort with such a simple act. A simple, simple act of kindness by eliminating them. a simple act of consideration towards others.

That's what I think it comes down to. I don't understand why someone wouldn't want to show that consideration over the simplest of things. It seems to me such an easy thing to do.

@Etoile308

There are many kind and  considerate people on this board. People willing to share their knowledge, share their experiences, who offer comfort to those in need. Those are the people I have come to respect and enjoy engaging with on this site.

The other stuff is just noise and silliness. Consideration for others is deemed passe and unimportant these days by a great many people. Which, like you, I don't understand. Kindness, at least to me, is easier than spending the energy it takes to be rude and angry.

@Etoile308,

That was beautifully put.

@kate2357,

I think too that kindness is one of the most, if not the most important trait a human can have.

@on the bay@kate2357I think what I found strange when the subject was first brought up was, that to me I likened the request to be similar to posters that request messages be broken into paragraphs, or not written in all caps, or to post in a larger font size.

These were all simple changes that could make reading the board easier for their fellow posters. Yet when these request are made, I don't remember there ever being blowback over it or an unwillingness to try and comply.

Just another reminder to me that people are different.
