The white part of the turkey. I only eat the dark meat.

@depglass

My body does not tolerate mushrooms.

Trucker daughter likes green bean casserole   but makes it from scratch without canned soup.  She is the only one who eats it.

Corn. Canned jellied cranberry stuff -- my Mom used to just plop the mass straight out of the can onto a plate. You could see the ridges from the can.

LOL! My mom and my sister still do this .... my sister calls them cutting guides. She will use the indents to slice up the cranberry. But the thing is NO ONE even likes jellied cranberry, but every year they buy a can. I can still hear the PLOP as it slides out of the can.

My mother also makes a yam dish where she puts French's yellow mustard and brown sugar on the yams then bakes the heck out of them. I think I was in my mid-30's before I ever tasted yams/sweet potatoes that I liked. One of my dils brings it over sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving and I just have to reheat.

Why all the dislike for the geen bean casserole?  It's just beans and mushoom soup, no?

That's why many of us can't stand it.  Why mess up perfectly hlgood green beans?

Is there another way to do it?  I love canned cranberry sauce.  I serve it in what I think is a cut glass butter dish.  Perfect for cranberry sauce and it has a top.

Pumpkin pie. Mince meat pie. Giblets in dressing.

I'm with others here: no pumpkin!  Trader Joes always has pumpkin-this and pumpkin-that every year.  I guess someone is buying it, not me.

In theory Thanksgiving dinner is delish, but I struggle with a what looks like a big plate of "white".

For a twist on a green salad, I am bringing endive leaves stuffed with feta cheese, toasted pecans, red pears and drizzled with honey and a  balsamic glaze. My guess is it won't be everyone's favorite.😄

I don't like any kind of cranberries unless they're dried and tossed in my salad.

Your salad sounds delicious to me. Alas, all of the men in my family would just look at that beautiful green salad and grab more spuds/stuffing/gravy.
