We have a set of steak knives, boning, paring, chef & slicing knives. DH loves the Victoronix slicing knife below. I bought one of those for my dad & my sister. We used to have a restaurant supply store where I bought them but the store has closed & I now have to buy them online. The paring knives & boning knife I bought had a clear plastic sheath on them. The other knives did not have one on them. You can buy some blade guards or edge guards at Amazon or other places online. I bought some that look like these for mine.
