Re: Temptations and Nonstick

I always spray my Temptations before baking in them, but I do have to say that they clean up beautifully.  I have Pyrex pieces that I love and use often, but they're much harder to clean than the Temptations.

Re: Temptations and Nonstick

I made a cake in a round TT bowl for the first time, and the bottom did stick.  But, on air, it looks like when they have an item that has a lot of liquid, like a casserole, mac and cheese, etc.  It doesn't stick to the bottom.  Very interesting topic.

I think it depends on the recipe and food. I've found that foods with less "crumby" textures such as breads don't stick at all, and as a result, I never grease the stoneware for them. However, cakes and especially brownies definitely stick, so I apply a light coating of oil with a mister before baking most sweet items. To me, that's still an improvement since I have to grease and flour or use the oil spray with flour on virtually all my glass and metal pans when baking.

Re: Temptations and Nonstick

I find Temp-rations are about 90% non stick. For something I wasn’t to release cleanly, like brownies, I use some cooking spray for some extra insurance.
