1. If you buy this item as a gift then you won't have to "think" of what to do with the box or if you buy it for yourself, after the season, put the mugs back in the box until next year or do whatever you want with it. I am sure you can think of something.

2. Never owned any of the mugs so can't answer that question either. I am not fond of the angels,cardinals themes so these don't appeal to me at all but they are very popular with other Temp-tation lovers.

Looks like all they have in the egg plate is red, so going to pass on it but would have gotten one if it was in other colors!
