There was once these freezer bags along with a device to s*ck the air out that was sold in grocery stores. what was is called and do they still sell them?

I don't know about the grocery store but I have the handheld one from Debbie Meyer sold on HSN and it works great.

Yes, Ziploc still makes them, but they're a little difficult to find. They're called Ziploc Vacuum bags. I get them at Publix.

Reynolds used to also make them, but those have been discontinued. The Ziploc version works much better, anyway.
