[We rescue cats]

I usually have a seasonal runner on the table along with a sectioned wooden box with wooden pears. It's still the cold-weather decor. I may get that changed today, I need to change the pendant light shades and curtains for the summer as well.

@Sweetbay magnolia I love the nesting birds and the nature pairing with the fern motif on the tablecloth!

I don't use tablecloths, I spent too much of my youth ironing the starched ones at grandma's!

I have a collection of vintage tablecloths, but I replaced my kitchen table with a counter height table a few years ago.  The tablecloths are too small.  Today I have some orange woven placements on it.

Wow!  My husband would be in heaven with that setup!

My Italian grandparents used to drink demitasse coffee with some kind of liqueur in it. I can still smell it in my mind and it brings back lovely memories.

@house_cat I have never been a coffee drinker.  I just don't like it.  I do like espresso however, and I liked iced espresso with milk in it--iced latte.  Just don't like coffee--with all that water in it!

The first espresso I ever had was when Starbucks opened in D.C. and the manager came over to see how I liked it and asked what coffee I liked.  I said I didn't like coffee and he said "But you liked THAT?"  I said, yeah it had some oomph and flavor!  We had a good laugh.

I love vintage linens too, though I'm most definitely not an ironer.

So, on my table right now is an unironed tablecloth, as well as one naughty kitten!

Placemats.  I got a bunch at an auction, some are washable and some I will just throw out.

Ah, that just might mean that we're kindred spirits, @kindred cats. 

I recently lost my 13 year old cat to thyroid/kidney disease.

It was really sad, and I had no intention of getting another kitty so soon.

But this little fellow basically fell into my lap. 

I haven't had a kitten in ages, and he's 100% lovely. What's so sweet is that he knows just when it's bedtime, follows me up to bed, and he even sleeps the night away with me. Zzzz

I feel so blessed to have him.

My dining room table is covered with 500 puzzle pieces usually. Kitchen table has a table cloth with placemats and a lazy susan in the middle. Nothing fancy here.
