Yes, I did it again Smiley Embarassed

I'd been telling DD how much I used to love cooking in an electric skillet when her father and I were first married.  My mother used to like cooking in one also, so much easier to control the heat.  I don't know why they ever went out of style, I've sure missed having one.

Does anyone here still use one, or did you also order one last night?

I have and still use my mother's old West Bend skillet.

I wouldn't order one from here. Electric skillets aren't that expensive in stores.

When raising four children I had a large rectangular one that would do 6 burgers, 6 pancakes, etc. at a time. Really was indispensible back then.

I got the daily special last night from another venue.  A good price, and it's a Dash, which gets five stars on Amazon.

$49 last night, 14", $59 today/

Didn't watch last nite, but I recently bought a Presto from Amazon.  Got a 12x12 'cause that's a good size for me and it comes apart for easy storage.  Plus, I think using the skillet saves on electricity - like using a toaster oven instead of the stove oven.

We have the Aroma 3-in-1 electric frying pan from HSN and it is the best electric skillet we ever owned. I purchased two as gifts and they loved them also. It is Sold Out right now as it is so popular. It has a rippled grill surface inside and it is used at least three times a week by my husband! Clean-up is so easy and fast. He loves it. We don't have an outdoor grill as it's just the two of us now. I use my Cusinart Pressure Cooker, my Nesco 4-in-1 cooker, Rangemate and my Skinny Mini the most. My husband uses the Aroma 3-in-1. I have the Rachel Ray gradient blue cookware when I need it. I only use my oven when making cookies lately. It is nice to have these kitchen appliances but I really could have used these when my three children were growing up. Smiley Happy

I think so, too.  I bake chicken breasts and salmon often, the skillet would take less time and energy, imo.

I think so, too!  I just used the stove and burners for years lately, but then I got the air fryer recently, then could not resist the Skinny Mini, and now the electric skillet.  Oh my, lol.  DD sure loves that air fryer and I love the Mini.

They each have different functions, so I don't feel bad about it, but I am running out of room, lol.  DD and I plan on doing some serious cupboard cleaning!

The Cooks Essentials Air Fryer coming up as a TSV I will watch and see if I need it.

I would love a deep fryer but having pancreatitis my doctor wants me to keep my weight down as to not cause problems. Maybe the air fryer would work out well for me. I think this new A-Fib medicine and blood thinner is making me have a hard time putting a few pounds on I can't get rid of. I am making food at home and eating and exercising but the weight wants to stay. I am being really faithful this past month and although the weight isn't coming off. I did lose 4" when I measured myself, so it is a start. I am trying to make flavorful meals and I do love healthy food. I have fun with my Veggettini spiralizer making zucchini noodles cooked with a little olive oil and garlic. Sorry got off the subject a little. You are all so comfortable to talk to.
