In the last year  I have had three Temptations bakers crack in the oven.  Three!  There is a problem with the stoneware fomulation that is being used.  What a mess!  Needless to say I'm done  using the bakers as bakers. I also purchased two sets of drinking glasses.  The decals all washed off in the dishwasher leaving plain glass drinkware.  Good quality glass but plain as can be.That I can live with but not overware that cracks.

Re: TEMPTATIONS CRACK ME UP!

I have one 9 X 13 Temptations dish that came with a metal rack with handles to put it in, a plastic lid, and a ceramic lid as well, 4 pieces.  It was a TSV years ago.  I don't think I have ever put it in the oven.  I just use it for a taco dip that I make.  It has crazed, and did so shortly after I got it.

I think the Temptations line is put junk.  The patterns are not especially attractive either.  I know a lot of people love it, but not me.  I don't get the attraction.

Re: TEMPTATIONS CRACK ME UP!

I agree.  It's an inferior line and I'm surprised it's still on the Q.  What good is bakeware when you cannot use it in the oven?  I am one that also had a baker crack in the oven and this was many years ago, so it was even junk then.

Re: TEMPTATIONS CRACK ME UP!

I'm sorry for everyone who has experienced issues with Temp-tations over the years. I've been buying them from the beginning all the way up to last week and have never had a single piece break, crack, or craze. I just got out a bunch of my Pumpkin Patch collection to set the table and be ready to entertain for the harvest season—it's too bad they don't make that pattern the way they used to.

I am quite disappointed in the direction of the line with all the decals/transfers they're using now; there's nothing very special about the pieces anymore and all the new designs are far too cutesy and juvenile for my taste. The new white Carved Willow is lovely, but there are plenty of other white options on the market, so unless they produce a really unique piece, I won't be buying that pattern, either.

Re: TEMPTATIONS CRACK ME UP!

I purchased a lot years ago.  Some of it has crazed.  Never had a piece crack in the oven, and I use them A LOT in the oven.  I have, however, had handles break off of crocks in the microwave. I put them in the dishwasher, and the handles have a firing hole in which water gets.  The water in the handle expands in the microwave and causes it to eventually break off the crock.  When they've all broken, I'll switch to something else.  There are lots of mugs and crocks out there nowadays.  I've sold a lot of my TT's on Facebook Marketplace.

Re: TEMPTATIONS CRACK ME UP!

My sister has had 2 pieces crack in the oven.

I gave all of my pieces away.

It cracked me up when someone on-air mentioned that it's Temptations month.  When is Tara and Temptations never on? She's always there!

Re: TEMPTATIONS CRACK ME UP!

I had a Temptations 9×13 dish in the Gingham pattern from years ago. I used it a lot, but mine did crack in the oven during a holiday, I had a sweet potato casserole in it.

Re: TEMPTATIONS CRACK ME UP!

I had a bad experience with cracking pieces. One was a 9"x13" dish and one was a lid it.
Both happened when we had company. Not only did it make a mess, it was embarrassing.

i called qvc and they told me they couldn't do anything about it to call Temptations, which I did. They told me that nothing could be done about it because it was part of a set.

This has been a years' long problem and recently watching Tara I was wondering if her ovenware still cracks.

Reading your post clearly it does, so dangerous, a waste of your time with clean up and waste of money.  It's just horrific that it is still sold.  And seems to be promoted more and more.

Love glass Pyrex, have several pieces and have had them for many years.

Re: TEMPTATIONS CRACK ME UP!

I've had several pieces crack...especially the 9x13 bakers. I've also had several pieces that really crazed....and they were never used at all!!! The product is inferior unfortunately.
