Are you kidding ? she has her restaurant show on Oprah's network and she has one of the best soul food restaurant's in St, Louis.  She has 3 dine in sites of which one is a drive thru. I try hard to stay away from the drive thru which is not to far from me darn it ! I will be buying that cookbook also !  I think her show returns to Oprah's network in November. Check it out ! I checked out her menu, but all it is a southern cooking.  I'm still trying to find out the difference between country cooking and soul food, other than soul food is in the city and associated with African Americans.  We all eat and cook like that down here in rural Georgia.  Paula Deen's restaurant is the same food, just higher prices that Sweetie Pie's and any country cooking place down here.  Even Sweetie Pie's prices are high compared to down here, but the rural south won't tolerate high prices for everyday food.  I haven't ate at Paula Deen's places and don't plan to.  When I eat out in a big city, I like to eat at places with food I can't get at home from other cultures and as authentic as possible.  Southern/Soul Food cooking I do all the time.
