Sundays are still sit down family dinners for us.  Meat, salad, side and bread.  Pizza is a week night meal, and not frozen. Don't care for the fake taste.  We order from local pizza shops or make it ourselves.

Just got a pizza maker.  I could certainly use some tried and true combinations to make.  Got any of your favorites to share, @Rockycoast ?

Probably some kind of takeout.  Not pizza cuz I gave that up for Lent.

Re: Sunday = Pizza night around here

Our pizza nite is usually Friday.  I'll order from one of the local shops or make it myself with the help of Trader Joe's.  I use either their canned Greek eggplant on one of Trader Joe's cauliflower crusts with a combination of Swiss/Guyere cheese or a kale crust with San Marzano snack tomatoes with fresh basil and fresh parm/ mozzarella cheese. I have celiac disease, so that limits my options. Pizza sounds good anytime!

LOVE white pizza with extra spinach and artichoke hearts.

We lost our wonderful pizza place because of the virus!

Re: Sunday = Pizza night around here

I have to be gluten free, so I buy Milton's Pizza made with culiflower crust. ( from Costco)  I used to just cut off  a slice or two and put it back in the freezer, but my DH tried it and it is his favorite pizza now, so I bake the whole thing at once.

He likes it better than take out.  We normally have it for lunch.

Tonight we had mixed veggies, NY strip steaks with mushrooms, and cheesy red potatoes and salad.

Morning @eddyandme   Of course I'd be happy to share my favorites.   For the crust we use the King Arthur Neapolitan recipe. All pizzas are baked at 450 degrees and on a pizza stone.  Pizzas we have made are--

BBQ chicken- we use bbq sauce (we make our own, but a close taste to it is KC Masterpiece)  instead of tomato sauce. caramelized onions, roasted chicken (a store bought rotisserie chicken works well also).  Toss cooked chicken in bbq sauce place on top of onions, top with a pizza blend of cheeses. Into the oven to bake.

Another is our version of a Meat Lovers pizza.  Same King Arthur dough. Pizza or tomato sauce.  Sweet Italian sausage, Hot Italian sausage, and bacon, uncooked crumbled or chopped into small pieces. (pulled pork is also very good on this pizza) Cooked onions and mushrooms. Top with shredded mozzarella, provolone and cheddar cheeses. (There are packaged pizza cheeses at the grocery store also).

One that we are trying out this Thursday is a Butternut squash, ricotta and cranberry pizza.  Saw it on the  on line menu at one of our favorite pizza shops.

I also like a Spinach, olive and garlic pizza.

These are some of my favorites. You can do so much with flavor combos. Let your taste buds run wild!   Oh, and one thing I won't put on my pizzas are cooked green peppers. Don't like the taste or mouth feel when they are cooked. Hahaha

Re: Sunday = Pizza night around here

OH!  THANK YOU SOOO MUCH, @Rockycoast !!!!!!!Woman Very Happy

Your recipes sound DELISH!  It's early here, but I'm starving now!!!

I shall order the KA pizza flour - had been considering it, but wasn't sure.  And in the meantime will make the cranberry combo -- YUMMMMM!

Years ago, I used to make "My Dad's Favorite Pizza".  It consisted of a bisquick crust (strictly his preference), ground hamburger meat, onions, pepperoni (nuked so less greasy) and taco seasoning with just minimal sauce on the crust (I'd bake it on for 5min before making the pie.  But, haven't made pizza in years and couldn't come up with any ideas.  Thanks for your help!

P.S. This will be a first time using a pizza cooker!

Your welcome @eddyandme    Have fun with that new pizza oven!  I like the sound of your Dad's favorite pizza. Tasty ingredients.   For Christmas I  made my husband a pizza package gift.  The KA pizza flour, a jar of the pizza dough flavor and a jar of the pizza seasonings.  He says the pizza flour really does make a differance.  Oh, and don't forget, there are also Dessert pizzas to consider. Just to throw another spoke on the wheel! Woman Very Happy
