Re: Suggestions for sturdy disposable cake carriers with lids

@homedecor1 : A seller on eBay had photo of the same plate and color of cake and same details. Her price was cheaper and 20% discount for multiple sets plus free shipping.

I was on the web restaurant site this morning and the shipping was over $18

I appreciate your reply because you are a baker and have used this product. This is the help that I wanted from someone with tried and true experience. Thank you.

@drizzellla : Thank you. I thought about the same thing but what I have seen in the dollar store has the handles on top, that makes storage more bulky. We are also trying to find something that required less storage space.

This cake cover with handle from Dollar Tree lays flat for storage.

@Iwantcoffee : Thank you. That is great that the handle folds flat and will definitely check this out. Great especially for the Church fall  cake auction.

Can I just say that if anyone invented a silent one they'd make a fortune.  It's impossible to sneak a piece of cake with ones pictured.

Frankly, and all kidding aside, the cardboard boxes tied with string look classier than the plastic "grocery store" ones.

@faeriemoon

🤣🤣 isn't that the truth..can't open them quietly.

I agree I always put my cakes in white cake box decorated using pretty ribbons.

The plastic ones I've used when I'm just taking a dessert.

Re: Suggestions for sturdy disposable cake carriers with lids

@Yahooey : Thanks. I just checked. Case of 45 of the plastic cake carriers without shipping and tax is $138. Case of the 10 inch cake boxes $103. Purchased two of the Dollar Tree cake carries and sent photos to friend but no reply yet. I don't think they are tall enough for her layer cakes but perfect for her pies.

As much as some of these suggestions cost, how about a LocknLock?  I have one, don't know if they are still offered or not.

@depglass : Friend bakes a lot of cakes. She works in a large office and attends a large church and teaches in the children's department.
