Suggestions for a Great Blender

Our Cuisinart blender broke recently and I want to purchase a new blender but want something reliable. Honestly, I wasn't very impressed with the customer service at Cuisinart so while I'm not opposed to repurchasing it wouldn't necessarily be my first choice. We make a fair amount of smoothies, chop frozen fruit, etc. so I want sharp metal blades.

Any suggestions for a great blender that won't break in a short period of time?
