Suggestion: please offer open stock pieces again

With a small household and many QVC cookware sets "under my belt", I really really wish QVC would return to offering open stock cookware pieces.  Years ago, QVC Technique Hard Anodized was my fave brand and individual pans and small sets were offered.  Well, I need to replace/replenish and all that's offered lately are large sets and super expensive pans.  I need some smaller size, double handled, affordable, decent quality pans that can do triple duty ... stovetop, oven and countertop toaster oven ... enamel lined or just stainless steel (no longer a fan of non stick surfaces).

Re: Suggestion: please offer open stock pieces again

I agree.  I bought a large, nice set of hard anodized pans several years ago.  The pieces I don't use frequently (but still need from time-to-time) are in fantastic shape.  The pieces I use frequently have to be replaced occasionally.  I've been lucky to find quality pieces at TJ Maxx that I need, but that is hit or miss, and I dislike buying a piece when I find it and trying to find a place to store it just to have it when the current piece stops functioning well.

To see if I even liked hard anodized before I bought my first set, I bought a 5 qt. Technique hard anodized pan from the Q...seems like it was around $40.  I loved it, and from then on out, I was sold.  I personally won't use anything but hard anodized with a non-stick coating, but I don't need a whole set!  How about individual pieces offered at one day only prices during cooking days or days that feature cookware as a TSV?  My go-to pieces are a 5 qt. saute pan (chicken fryer), a 5 or 6 qt. Dutch oven, and an 8 qt. stock pot.

That's a great idea, I have some great technique pieces , and I don't need another set, but some interesting new pans would be nice.  I could use another 1 quart saucepan.

I agree!

I'm a big fan of the CE stainless steel and open stock pieces again would be really nice!

I love the 2 handled everyday pans and we used to be able to buy them and other pieces separately, but no more.

Re: Suggestion: please offer open stock pieces again

99% of the time I use three sizes, a 3 qt. saucepan, a 3 qt. saute, and a 5 qt. Dutch oven.  Two people here most of the time.  But I have a bunch of others for the 1% stored in the basement.  So I used to love open stock from QVC, now I buy the sets and have

DD sell off the extras dirt cheap on Ebay.  The labor is just not cost effective to produce the open stock.  I have bought some open stock on Amazon, though.

Re: Suggestion: please offer open stock pieces again

I am so glad others agree that openstock pieces should be offered on cookware.  I posted this request in the Suggestion Box sometime ago, but it has been ignored.  I have two different sets of CE hard anodized.  The original set had a 2 qt. deep saute pan with a lid that doubled as a fry pan (2 side handles).  It is my favorite pan and will need to be replaced soon from so much use.  I have never seen it offered in any of the sets offered in the last 5 or more years.  I wish QVC would listen to our requests more often.  Not everyone needs whole sets of cookware.  My 3 qt. chicken fryer also has a helper handle - another thing they are not offering anymore on the chicken fryers.  They are too heavy with food in them to just have a side handle.  Let's keep requesting what we want.

From a retailers point of view,  not much money to be made selling pots and pans one at a time.   Sets are the way to go.

I'm surprised there's not more interest in this suggestion. People need or want to add pieces now and then.

I would buy open stock pieces. I wish Curtis Stone sold his square grill pan separate. I fell in love with it, but its only in a big set. I would like 2 qt and 3 qt saucepans with the draining lid.
