Suggestion in re: kitchen tools

David Venable: might I ask that you suggest to Cook’s Essentials, Blue Jean cook, Tara, etc. that someone come up with a measuring cup whose measurement will stand up to dishwashers. I’m tired of replacing my Pyrex/glass measuring cups simply because the measurements fade from being cleaned in the dishwasher. I love the clear glass of Pyrex but would prefer being able to put them in the dishwasher with the rest of my baking tools. Thank you.

Maybe you need to contact Pyrex?  At any rate, its best to contact hosts on their Facebook pages.  They dont participate in the boards.

@30yearmember

Ive had my OXO slant style measuring cups (set/4) for many many years & endless washings in dishwasher.  They are still perfect & I love the design.

They sell on Q but I bought mine individually at Bed Bath & Beyond.  Better price at Q (even with shipping).

i also have the OXO baking beakers.

Love all OXO products!

Agree with Homedecor about OXO products.

I have some antique Pyrex glass liquid measures (1c, 2c, & 4c) and I love them.  All you do is just wash them by hand, which takes a hot second, and the ink lasts forever.   None of mine have any degradation and they are many decades old.

I have a feeling this is probably a hit n run, so no advice will be heeded and it won't be acknowledged that the show hosts cannot post here and don't read here for the most part.

I use the old retro aluminum measuring cups that are small and fit down in the canisters. Have handles too.

I don't have any issue with pyrex measuring cups in the dw either, but I only bake on the holidays.

Those are great for scooping out things like sugar and flour, but a glass measuring cup is always recommended for liquids so you can eyeball the amount from the outside.Woman Wink
