Strawberry Hill Povitica tracking

I had planned a trip out of town this week, but I'm having to work around the delivery of  poticia I ordered from QVC.  It was ordered early so I'd be able to freeze it and have it for the holidays.

The tracking information provided is worthless.  All it gives is the estimated delivery date.  That means it might be delivered on that date or it could come earlier or later.  If exact tracking info was provided, I could at least know where the order is now and exactly when to expect it.  It was sent out on the 16th.

Have any of you had this same problem with tracking for the povitica?  This is my first order and I'm hoping the breads taste good, for this lack of tracking info is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.  Woman Tongue    Sorry for venting, but this is soooo frustrating.  Why give a tracking no. if it provides no tracking info other than the EDD???

Re: Strawberry Hill Povitica tracking

Not that I can help, but I am in the exact same situtation wrt tracking of the UPS Blue Express delivery of the povitica.  The QVC site says it shipped on the 16th (which we know is never true) but here we are today and there is no evidence that the package has truly been shipped.   Luckily I am not traveling this week or I would be as upset as you are.     Sadly this is typical of what has happened to QVC.

I'm sorry you're having the same problem that I am .  After my post here yesterday I finally was given some tracking information. My order was placed on the 14th and although it said it was shipped on the 16th, it was not. So I may or may not receive it by the 22nd EDD.   This is a perishable item so you would think that they would get it to you quickly. No wonder some of the reviews say that the bread is dry and tasteless. It could be because it took so long for them to actually receive it after it was baked.

Have you had the povitica before?  If so, is it good?

Re: Strawberry Hill Povitica tracking

Same here ladies....

I ordered 2 sets since the price was SO good.

Says shipped 9/16 as well.  The details FINALLY showed up this morning.

Left Lenexa, KS on the 20th (NOT 16th) and is shipping UPS Blue.

EDD  9/22 which should be accurate as UPS blue is usually 2 days.

I LOVE these breads!  I am a pretty good baker, but no way I could ever make anything like this.  I have ordered since they first debuted and was on AD for a while.  There isn't a flavor they make that we don't love!  If you have a toaster oven, it is wonderful lightly toasted as well.  (My regular toaster would not accommodate)

They freeze fantastic, make GREAT gifts which have always been raved about and are delicious!

Just my humble opinion!  Hope you all like them!

Re: Strawberry Hill Povitica tracking

I have the same tracking information (shipped yesterday),  it just showed up this morrning.   When I ordered them I expected to get them last week but as I said, this delay is illustrative of the QVC decline that continues in all product quality and with unacceptable shipping prices and delays.

As far as the breads,  I ordered them once before and really loved them.   Mine were not dry.  I could not stop eating them!!!!   This was a good price and while I think they are overpriced (the loaves are small),  they melt in your mouth.  I liked them toasted and plain!     I am hoping these (bought two packages) are as good as the ones I had last time.

Re: Strawberry Hill Povitica tracking

I purchased the breads, also, because the price seemed reasonable and I was looking for traditional breads that my Lithuanian mother used to serve around the holidays.   We always called it "potica."

From your description, I think the breads will be very much enjoyed and bring back many fond memories.  This is to be a special treat for my family so that's why I splurged a little.  I do have a toaster oven and will take your advice about heating them a bit before serving.

Some reviews stated the loaves were small, but as I recall, traditional potica was cut into small loaves, but they were heavy because of the filling.   A little went a long way.  Can't wait to taste them now and see if they compare with the potica I remember.

Re: Strawberry Hill Povitica tracking

So it was less than $27.01?  And I thought I got a good deal on the Q for 3 1 lb. loaves.  :-)

Re: Strawberry Hill Povitica tracking

When you pull up your order status you will see a tracking number.  Copy that number and go to the shipper's web site like ups.com and put it into their tracker.  That will give you an exact, or nearly, date.  I do this with all my orders.  I hate their version of shipment tracking.
